What IS it with Blogger? I just reset my password SIX times and still I get "this web site has expired, please close the page (**?**)!! This is MY website and I want access!! Enough.

More Christmas catalogs fill the mailbox every day. My number one favorite, Gumps arrived this week and has tons of stuff I love and am never going to get (what would I do with all that stuff?).
Closely behind is Southern Seasons of Chapel Hill, the number one source for HUGE baskets full of tasty and TOTALLY fattening foods. As for those catalogs full of lumber-jack shirts and fleece lined boots....not at this address. And what I really need for Christmas - an upgrade to CS5, the Adobe Creative Suite for Photoshop. Because I was late in getting CS4, just last year I need to move up to CS5 before it too is out of date.

My Christmas list? Getting smaller every year - most of my giving is done over the summer when we see relatives (especially those who live in cold climes where we will not travel to in winter months).
Will do several batches of spiced and sugared nuts for the locals, maybe some honey or jams for the girlfriends. Something simple.

The quilt guild has a knock-out holiday party in mid-December where tables are LOADED with dishes of all kinds and I have to ignore most of the offerings.

Speaking of the guild - my current work is developing a slide presentation of the ribbon winners from the October 22-24 quilt show. Beautiful quilts, eight "Judges Choice" awards and tons of details to complete for a Photoshop slide show. Work is in progress but I hope to have the final show on a CD to present at the holiday party. That is also the moment when the drawing for the raffle quilt takes place. Just a peek (at right) of the corner of the "Pineapple Blossom" pattern as taught by Bonnie K. Hunter at a previous workshop.
Jean Wright made the patchwork, Maria Tax did the applique flowers along the border, not sure who did the overall quilt stitching but it is a world class quilt. Hope I win.

The really BIG news. We have an appointment at the CCRC to discuss plot location and floor plan options for Villas in the Phase V development. Looks like the process of re-locating to a retirement home will be full steam ahead. We have a lot of work to do including MORE downsizing (forever!), clearing and listing the house, selling the house an hopefully timing the above to match occupancy date in the new villa. Meantime I saw sister Jan on Tuesday and passed on some bags and sacks of 'surplus stuff' for her mountain cabin. And we discussed more of the 'process' of ready-ing the house for show. The good news is we will not likely have occupancy next year - 2011 - but possibily in 2012.

Back to the Wellness center for workouts, my new goal is to drop two pounds BEFORE the holidays and then get back to losing the requisite five pounds AFTER the holidays. Got to keep the shape before old-age really takes over.
