Wonder why I am so tired?

My blog has not been up-to-date recently. I beg your indulgence as we are in the midst of a) photographing the house, b) beginning the pack-up of non-essentials (cd's?), for storing while the house is being shown and also c) collecting samples and writing specifications for the new CCRC unit - soon to be built.

How you might ask is this layer of new activity overlaying my usual routine? Easy, my disciplined routine of nutritional meals, exercise and speedy sewing has collasped into flat-out abandonment. Ugh!

We needed a night out last night so headed to Sitar Palace for the Indian buffet - a spicy treat if you do not mind your sinsus draining while you eat. Once my head was cleared of the spice and mustards, we came home to eat fresh navel oranges. Oranges have become my saving grace of late.

Today I staged the kitchen for photography before the sunlight was too bright in the windows, then headed to the gym to update my forgotten workout routine. Made a point to get on the scale to see than the dreaded two-pound gain has not diminished. Bummer!

Ahead for later this afternoon is staging the family room for photography when I can manage to a) pull the excess of cd's, books and magazines out of the way, b) plump the sofa pillows to look new (?), and c) re-arrange the lamps so as not to obstruct the camera view. Once the family room is done I still need to get shots of the Master bath, the Breakfast nook and the Dining room but those will be secondary views. Our immediate need is for a six-picture layout that might be a mailer or handout to show the property.

And my next move will be to start packing up the ten-year stash building fabric collection that will be stored for the next 18 months. Double Bummer. . .this means I will not be sewing anything major until  after we relocate. Except for one item - DH's neice just gave birth to a baby boy and I am in the midst of trying to finish baby bibs before the fabrics are out of reach. Just one more little deadline to layer over the other layers time demands. Life goes on.

Did find a wonderful website for upgrading ones Photoshop skills.  Go to
http://psd.tutsplus.com and click on Basix, at the bottom of the menu click on Tutorials, or just link to
http://psd.tutsplus.com/series/photoshop-basix, and begin the first of a 25 tutorial series for Photoshop users. I have had several courses in editing and digital scrapbooking and this is one of the best tutorial series found to date.  Martin Perhiniak will make those multiple options in Photoshop far less intimating!

Break time is nearly over, back to work. . . bb
