Today I direct your attention to Bonnie Hunter's blog: www.quiltville.blogspot.com.
There you will find BH's latest photos from the July 10th Outdoor Quilt Show. OR read about Sisters, OR in my blog from 2007, the one and only time I ever expect to be there.
Hunter's blog is one of about four or five that I regularly visit for updates in the world beyond. Aside from Digital Scrapbooking, photographing the DOQ Guild's monthly meetings and getting to the gym, that's about the the limit of my exposure to the world at large. And in summer my exposure shrinks due to heat.
Speaking of the gym, made my usual Sunday jaunt to the Wellness Center doing as much of my workout session as possible. Not until I showered and left for the nearby Harris Teeter grocery shopping did I realize I was quite hungry and it was NINETY NINE frig*in' degrees! Zowy! That almost did me in. A quickie run through the deli and back home and only now, four hours later am I back to functioning at normal speed. And my DH wonders why I am so tired, you try doing an hour and quarter of cycling, mat crunches, weight lifting on an empty stomach and see how you feel. Even a cool shower is never enough.
Yes, I'm still into The Girl Who Played with Fire. Convinced that The Girl cannot succumb (there is after all, another book in the trilogy), I keep turning the page. Nearly 70% on the Kindle2 (since page numbers are meaningless because you can adjust the type size, you are given the percentage of copy read). Give me another day and I will finish this monster.
Tonight for dinner: antipasto with a variety of salads. Cool....what else?
