NORTH CAROLINA SNOW

After Christmas is a perfect time for snow, we were not going anywhere anyway. But the drive is the questions of the day. DH has an excuse to play with power-toys, the snow blower. Rather than let him suffer a heart attack alone, I insist on going alongside to keep him from overdoing it. He reasons that we need a clear drive in order to get out in case of emergency.

I counter that the only emergency likely to happen is his stroke or broken hip from a fall and the ambulance will never get in the drive anyway. I think it must be the snow blower - he loves mechanical things.

My part in this undertaking relates to the snow shovels above; one for baby bear, mana bear and papa bear. The far right is a chopping blade for thick ice.
Guess which one I got? The big, blue papa-bear size because my job is to follow Blowing Man and scoop up the fallout.

He blows left and I scoop right; or vice versa. From the look of the cleared space behind the garage you would think we were done. Not so.  From here the drive goes UP hill another 500 yards and will be icy Monday and maybe Tuesday.

Maybe I can get some sewing done before the driveway is open again (?). bb
