So I did the only logical thing - headed to Southern Seasons to find that tea. http://www.southernseason.com/
You may not be familiar with S.S. if you are not from the South but it is the Zabars of NC, it is the Treasure Island of the Triangle and the best food emporium anywhere near here. Lucky for me it's about five minutes from the house.
Practically nil stock but I did find one 'Variety Pack" with six flavors. Of the six, two were decaf which I will not like but the Black Tea, Chai and White seemed intriguing. If Bonnie thinks it's good stuff maybe I will like it too.
Meantime I continue to shop looking for stock of Good Earth, not to be found anywhere. Last place I look is Trader's Joes in Eastgate Plaza. What do I find - strange new teas and a box that says "Duchess Grey Tea," sounds familiar but I never had this before. For those who love Earl Grey tea as I do (Oil of Bergamot, terrif), here's a brand new source.
Searching the web for more background on Duchess Grey I found several teatime blogs and one cake recipe.
No, I am not planning to make the cake but you could bake it and save me a piece.

Elmwood Inn is located in Perryville KY and I have not been there. They do teach a seminar called "Tea Master 101" but for someone who has had tea in many places around the globe I think I'll skip that one.
Duchess Grey (Earl and Lady were already taken), is a bit stronger for citrus and Bergamot but the black tea is more balanced. I like it a lot. I should thank Bonnie K., without looking for her tea I would not have found a new favorite.
Anyone for leftover decaf tea?
Reminds me of another BKHunter posting some weeks back when she showed a quilter's Traveling Tea Pak. Not that I travel that much anymore but this is a great gift idea. Will have to give it some consideration before the holidays are here.
Grocery shopping done before 9:00 am, home before the heat reached 90 degrees. In the house and a pot of Good Earth Chai is steeping for iced tea later. At the moment I am savoring the last of the Duchess Grey pot - a few more sips! Great morning tea.
