Setup table up with a blue scheme Thursday using large cobalt glass plates for the salad featuring a) sesame noodles, b) the freshly made Carrot-Ginger salad with jicama and radishes, c) a tangy chopped raw salad featuring both napa and red cabbages and lastly some cold asparagus spears; all served over a bed of Romaine lettuce and topped with basic salad vinaigrette. My kind of dinner salad.

He loved it but I think he enjoyed the mango sorbet with chile more! Who puts chile in sorbet?? Was kind of proud of myself but needed to get him in the mood for Saturday night's dinner with my friends.
Sunday was our lazy day - or at least he was lazy. I was cutting up two thrift shop shirts with black/tan leaf motifs to make a seat cushion for the rattan chair in his bath. When people ask me "what kind of quilting do you do," my first thought is "git 'er done!" quilting. Would like to think I am an textile-artist but let's face it: most of what I'm doing now is fix-up sewing.
At this point I need a stool or drafting chair for the new sewing table as I must stand on my 'booted' foot with the broken metatarsal to use my right foot on the floor pedal. Got to get beyond this broke-foot condition soo-o-on.
Will I ever get back to "my kind" of sewing? Hang tight, the year's not over yet.
